As we reach the halfway mark of 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve been on—and to thank you, our community, for being part of it.

The first six months of this year have been both challenging and deeply meaningful. Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to respond to two critical situations with compassion and urgency.

Earlier this year, we stepped in to assist with a severe hoarding case involving over 145 cats and kittens, many of whom were in urgent need of medical care. We provided spay/neuter services and vital veterinary treatment for those who were sick or suffering—giving them a second chance at life, safety, and love.

Our second major project is ongoing at a homeless encampment in Fremont, where we continue to offer the same life-saving services—spay/neuter, vaccinations, and urgent veterinary care—for the cats and kittens who live alongside unhoused individuals. These animals are often overlooked, but thanks to our dedicated volunteers and partners, they are not forgotten.

Beyond these two large-scale efforts, we remain committed to supporting the broader low-income community in San Jose, helping families care for their beloved pets by providing access to spay/neuter and medical care they might not otherwise afford.

Purrific Rescue does not have corporate sponsors, grants, or a steady source of private donations. As a new rescue organization, we have not yet established a presence in the greater community.
